So for Memorial day we went to Smithfield as always, only this year it was very different! Smith was a noticeable absence and there just was something missing in the air. It was good to see cousins and their kids, they grow up so fast! I wish the WHOLE family could've made it up again like last year. It would've been nice to visit with them all. Paige talked about how excited she was to get to visit Smith again so it took some explaining for her to understand we were just visiting her grave and not her. She kept saying "Well, when is she going to come back. Hasn't it been a really long time?" We always tell her Smith will be back some day when she's resurrected and we can see her then or when we get to heaven, Paige doesn't quite get the time thing yet. Which is fine. I like that she talks about her a lot. It keeps her memory fresh in my mind as well.
